Happy Mother's Day!

Each year for Mother's Day, students fill in a mad-lib sort of letter about their mom. It says things like "My mom is ____ feet tall. My mom looks pretty when she ______. Mom gets really mad when I ____."  They are always hysterical to read, because little kids have no real concept of height and the things they find 'pretty' are surprising.  Best answer this year? "My mom is as pretty as a snail in an apple."

The kids give their mom the letter along with a tissue paper flower they select from the 'garden.' Last year I had the children help make the flowers, but a few of them just didn't turn out the way they were supposed to.  This year, I made the flowers and children got to select them based on what they thought Mom would like most.
